ScrecAI Extension Privacy Standards

1. Data Collection and Use
ScrecAI does not collect or transmit any personal user data to servers, except in cases where the user explicitly initiates actions related to the extension's functionality. All data processing operations occur locally on the user's device, without transmission to external servers. We do not collect: - Information that allows personal identification (name, address, email, age, etc.). - Medical information. - Financial or payment data. - Authentication data (passwords, PIN codes, etc.). - Personal communications (messages, emails, SMS). - Location data, IP addresses, or GPS coordinates. - Web search history. - User actions (clicks, scrolling, keystrokes, etc.). We may receive web page content (text, images, video) only upon explicit user request, for example, when clicking the "Take Screenshot" or "Start Screen Recording" button. These data are processed exclusively locally on the user's device, are not transmitted to servers, and are not used for collecting statistics, analysis, or any other purposes. After the operation is completed, the data are not stored unless the user chooses to save them on their device.
2. Extension Permissions
For the proper functioning of ScrecAI, we use the following browser permissions. They are requested only to ensure functionality and are not used for collecting or transmitting data without the user's explicit consent: - **activeTab**: Allows interaction with the active tab upon user request (e.g., for screen capture). - **clipboardWrite**: Allows copying data to the clipboard at the user's initiative (if the function is used, e.g., for copying a screenshot). - **scripting**: Used to inject scripts into the current page to implement the extension's functionality (screen capture or screenshots). - **storage**: Allows saving local extension settings in the browser (e.g., user preferences for recording quality). All permissions are used exclusively for the extension's functionality and are not applied for tracking or monitoring user activity. We do not request permissions unrelated to the main function and minimize their use.
3. Code Usage and Security
The extension does not use remote code. All JavaScript code is included in the extension package and executed locally in the user's browser. This ensures a high level of security and prevents potential vulnerabilities associated with loading external code. We regularly update the extension to fix known vulnerabilities and comply with browser security standards.
4. Data Control and Management
Users have full control over their data. You can at any time: - Disable or remove the extension through browser settings. - View and clear local extension settings (via browser menu or extension settings). - Delete any saved data (screenshots or recordings) created with ScrecAI directly from your device. All data are stored only locally on the user's device and are not transmitted to third parties. We do not have access to your data and cannot recover or delete them remotely.
5. User Rights
Since ScrecAI does not collect, store, or process personal data on servers, many traditional data protection rights (such as the right to access or erase personal data under GDPR or similar laws) do not apply, as there is no personal data held by us.
